Printed on paper label and affixed to verso, BC: MADE IN U.S.A. -- Beginning this month (Sept.), tags bearing the message \ MADE IN U.S.A., such as these being inspected by Edwin Ramirez \ at Artray Label Co. in New York City, will be required by law to appear in \ all American-made clothing, apparel and home fashions. Country-of-origin \ labeling will allow consumers to choose between buying domestic versus \ imported goods. Several independent studies cited by the Crafted With \ Pride in U.S.A. Council reveal that American consumers prefer "buying \ American" when given the choice. The domestic network of fiber, textile \ and apparel manufacturers together forms the country's largest industry. \ Cooperation of its members, throughout the council, represents the united \ effort of an industry trying to help itself.
