Inscriptions Backprinted on verso, OA: THIS PAPER \ MANUFACTURED \ BY KODAK
Printed on paper label and affixed to verso, BC: BREASTPLATE it isn't, but this one-piece fender deck being checked by Donald Schwandt \ at the John Deere manufacturing plant in Horicon, Wis., does protect the drivers of \ lawn tractors. It covers the moving parts under the operator. The rippled metal at \ the top of the deck provides non-skid footrests while the curved metal at the bottom \ covers the rear wheels and fuel tank. Deere said fender decks are stamped from one \ piece of metal to prevent gaps that could expose the operator or loose clothing to \ moving belts and sliding brackets. \ -0- \ From: John A DeMilia \ Carl Byoir & Associates, Inc. \ 380 Madison Avenue (212) 986-6100 \ New York, New York 10017 \ For: JOHN DEERE \ Slug: BREASTPLATE \ Neg.
