Typed in black on applied labels on mount recto, OA: Studies lending to the award of the Nobel Prize in Physics to \ Dr. C.D. Anderson - California Inst. of Technology, 1936 \ TRACKS DUE TO COSMIC RAYS \ A position produced by Cosmic Rays passing through a six millimeter \ plate of lead. The curvature is produced by a strong magnetic field \ and the difference in curvature before and after passing through the \ lead makes it possible to calculate the Energy. \ TRACKS DUE TO COSMIC RAYS \ A small shower of positive and negative electrons produced \ by Cosmic Rays. That two are positive and two are negative \ is shown by the opposite curvatures. \ TRACKS DUE TO COSMIC RAYS \ A large cosmic ray shower of positive and negative electrons \ TRACKS DUE TO COSMIC RAYS \ Disruption of an atom of lead by cosmic rays showing \ clearly the paths of the particles thrown out.
