Inscriptions Inscribed in pen on applied label on spine of case: 222
Entry 222 in Mackay's notebook (located in library): Beautiful daguerreotype of lovely dark-eyed brunette young woman. Has large black bonnet with long black mourning veil draped over it. White ribbon streamers and large white clusters of flowers on each ear. Wears black & white shawl. Has probably just come out of 1st year of all-black mourning into 2nd year of black and white mourning apparel. Lady unknown. Very clear and well preserved. (2.00)
