Entry 327 in Mackay's notebook (located in library): Handsome large 5x6 ambrotype of Mr. J.S. Brown. This photo was taken on his wedding day, and had a marriage license inclosed [sic] but it was lost. He may have lived in Danville, Pa. This ambrotype came from Schenectady, N.Y. from Mrs. W. Ingraham whose husband used to conduct auctions, and she reserved these ambrotypes from goods turned in to be sold. (3.00)
