Inscriptions Entry 172 in Mackay's notebook (located in library): Unusual & lovely double daguerreotype case of papier maché and Mother-of-Pearl, containing two fine daguerreotypes of elderly couple. Old lady has unhappy, weary or sour expression. Very quaint clothes, and man’s haircut. Unknown couple. From collection of late Nellie J. Taylor, Berkeley. (2.00)
