Entry 666 in Mackay's notebook (located in library): Nice half-plate ambrotype of Niagara Falls being visited by a half-dozen high-hatted conductors on the Delaware, Lackawanna & Western Railroad. From N.Y. estate of descendants of famous Revolutionary period miniature painter, John Ramage. Acquired for me by Fred Lightfoot, Kew Gardens, N.Y. Cost 4.00. Worth 7 or 8 dollars.
