Inscriptions Entry 413 in Mackay's notebook (located in library): Exceptionally fine clear daguerreotype of Niagara Falls, sent from Montclair, N.J. Shows wide expanse of falls with a few houses in background, trees, etc. Perfect except for a little mercury rubbed off by finger marks. Waterfalls are in satiny folds due to slow action of lense and long exposure. (3.50 plus 1.00 for case)
