The album begins with text by H. de Bleignerie introducing the history up to and including the uprising, followed by Edouard Dangin's historical notes on the damaged monuments and streets. The prints are individually mounted and captioned. The album is bound in brown tooled leather, with gilt decorative designs and titles, gilt edges, and white moiré endpapers.
