Inscriptions Stamped in purple on verso, C: Photo'd. by Strong
Inscribed in pencil on verso, : Strongs View Wagon \ [illeg.] 1879
Applied label printed in black on verso, OA: This was taken on the road just out of \ Fruit Vale going up to Laundry Farm, where we \ used to go out on picnics and to camp in the \ old days when we were young kids. \ This wagon my father used to take pictures with, he built it himself, and it was a favorite \ target for the kids to throw stones at as he \ drove along the streets. \ It used to make him wild, and lots of times \ he would get out and chase the kids. \ If it had been covered with Canvas instead \ of Lumber it would have been filled full of \ holes. In those days they had no Dry Plates or \ Films, and the Plates had to be coated wet on the spot where the picture was taken, and exposed \ while it was wet. His wagon was his darkroom. [descriptive label on applied paper. narrative by phtoographer's son [?] about image, attached to verso of card.]
