BURIED WHERE HE FELL--DRAMATIC MOMENTS FROM NAVY OWI FILM..../
While the guns of this torpedo plane were blazing away at the Japs in recent Pacific/ action, an anti-aircraft shell from an enemy battery exploded in the turret, silencing/ the airman therein. Skillfully maneuvering the badly damaged torpedo plane back aboard/ the carrier, the pilot completed his mission. Of the crew of three, only two emerged/ from the battered plane. A quick decision by the Captain of the flat-top, and both/ AVENGER and dead airman were ordered committed to the deep. Rites by the Chaplain,/ bowed heads by the crew, taps by the bugler, over the side go the warrior and his/ charger. These stirring stills were selected from the new motion picture "BROUGHT TO/ ACTION", made by OWI and the Navy, depicting sea and air blows against the Japanese in/ the Second Battle of Philippines./

2. CHAPLAIN CONDUCTS SERVICE-- Carrier's Chaplain jumps up on wing of plane to give/ last rites to airman whose body remains at his post of duty where he fell./
