TextThe switch from the barrel to the sector shutter (patent number 408,596) for the Kodak camera began somewhere in the 5192 to 5259 serial number range. In October 1889, the revised sector shutter model was renamed the No. 1 Kodak, which coincided with the introduction of the larger No. 2 Kodak. Serial number 10412 is the earliest example of the No. 1 Kodak in the George Eastman Museum collection. Original price: $25.
