Inscriptions Typed in black ink on applied label on verso BC: (East Germans) 9/61 14) CHILDREN OF THE COMMUNIST REGIME; East German \ teenagers have grown up in a divided Germany, know no other \ regime. Youngsters such as these boys in a Dresden jazz \ club are urged to join the Free German Youth whose special \ privileges include free university education and cheap holiday \ accomodations in youth hostels. Such things are supposed to \ guarantee Party loyalty. But as experience in Poland and Hungary have demonstrated, youth often has ideas of its own. \ Credit: Erich Lessing © 1961 MAGNUM PHOTOS
