Inscribed on verso in pencil, then overwritten in blue ink TLC: Part of main span – each tower \ stands more than 700 ft. high \ from base of pier on floor of bay to \ tip – Lower deck has two[underlined] tracks \ for interurban cars + three[underlined] lanes for / heavy trucks - Upper deck has six[underlined] \ lanes for automobiles \ This bridge has a clearance at high[underlined] \ tide[underlined] of 185 ft.
