DescriptionSide-loading, closed-box design made to accommodate daguerreotype stereoviews. Non-telescoping, small-diameter eyepieces slide horizontally, allowing for interocular adjustment. The interior of the hinged lid is covered with foil, which was replaced with a glass mirror in later Brewster-style models, and the interior of the stereoscope has a center partition.
