He also founded Twenty-four hours for \ life, a nonprofit group for AIDS education and fundraising. His partner Earle is an activist \ and athlete who started AREA (American Run for the End of AIDS) over a decade ago; he has run \ around the entire country, covering nine thousand miles in twenty months, raising three hundred \ thousand dollars. They made the shirts that they are wearing, showing the names of their friends \ who died of AIDS.
