Entry 308 in Mackay's notebook (located in library): Beautiful antique carved oval floral ornament added (.50) case and daguerreotype cost about $1.00. It is worth at least 5.00, but could easily sell for 7.00 or more. Young couple, probably members of Flint family of Fayetteville, N.Y. Very lovely large daguerreotype, put in gutta percha case from Germantown, Pa. signed “Key”. (.50)
