Inscriptions Entry 327 in Mackay's notebook (located in library): Very large & beautiful daguerreotype of handsome and finely dressed young couple, full figure, man in handsome U.S. uniform of New England National Guard of Mexican War period woman in lovely dotted silk dress and dainty black lace mittens. Ancestors of the family of P. F.Jewett, 249 Ellington Ave, S.F., named Macdonald. (Spelled with a small “d”). Gift of Bob Jewett, classmate of Stuart at Balboa High.
