Inscriptions Entry 687 in Mackay's notebook (located in library): Large 7”x9” ambrotype in nice leather case. Lovely Victorian estate of Milne family, who left Victoria, B.C. in 1830’s or 1840’s to establish house in Australia. One of little children of family died [?]. Bought this ambrotype in Victoria July 1948. Cost $12.88 including tax. Bought in Victoria, B.C. July 1948.
