DescriptionAlbum contains mounted commercial views of early California cities including Los Angeles, Santa Monica, and San Diego. There is also an emphasis on unusual trees and horticulture in the area. A few of the commercial images are identified as the work of William Henry Jackson. Pencil captions in several different hands identify the locations of some of the images. In addition, there are 14 interesting, non-commercial images that document activities at a cattle and sheep ranch, including one of a steer being branded, a close up of a wild turkey in the weeds and another of hay being stacked and baled. The album structure is the "Eclipse" style, the pages being attached to a thin wire and thus made interchangeable. Album is in fair condition, cover of spine is missing.
