Inscriptions (ADVANCE FOR SUNDAY AMS, JULY 21--WITH STORY BY HORST FAAS) \ (NY26-July 19) THE OPERATION STARTS--Vietnamese troops and their \ American adviser leap out of a hovering U.S. helicopter as they begin \ an attack against a village suspected of harboring Viet Cong rebels in South \ Viet Nam. The choppers did not land because of possible guerrilla traps \ in the form of spikes and wires that would prevent its taking off \ again. The landing drew rebel gunfire, but no one was hit.
