Entry 746 in Mackay's notebook (located in library): Tiny miniature brown gutta percha double case with design of American Indian with feather headdress, bow & arrow. Made by W.E. Houston. Contains Brady tintypes of commodore (later Admiral) Andrew H. Foote, and Gen. John Pope who were both famous during Civil War, worked together in taking Island 10 and other lands in Marshes of Missouri. Both famous. Case cost 3.00. With Brady tintypes worth 15 to 20 dollars.
