Entry 149 in Mackay's notebook (located in library): Juliet Matilda Vinton died at 12 yrs. Her portrait was painted just before her death, and this daguerreotype is a photo of her portrait taken after death. Unusual daguerreotype. Rev. Vinton & family were friends of the Wilsons, Mrs. Yeakle’s parents. (gift of Mrs. Yeakle). [Inscribed on paper adhered to page] Juliet Matilda Vinton Daughter of Rev RS and Juliet M. Vinton She died when 12 yr of age—This daguerreotype was taken of the death—Do not know date of birth. Maybe in the 40s.
